Mary Eddowes is a dance and street theatre artist based in Bristol. She graduated from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2008 and in 2010 became interested in clown and physical theatre, after dancing through the streets of Birmingham wearing a beard. This experience inspired her to train in clown and experiment with silliness in public spaces.
She now runs Pestiferous, an outdoor and site-specific theatre company which tours nationally across the UK. She creates ensemble performances which are funny, interactive, playful and gently subversive. The work aims to bring audiences and performers together in everyday spaces for truly unique experiences that are uplifting, surreal, curious and joyful.
See www.pestiferous.co.uk for more information and some silly pictures.
Mary also works as a freelance performer for outdoor theatre companies such as Wet Picnic, Dizzy O Dare, Circo Rum Ba Ba.
